About Port of Southampton

​Southampton is the largest city on the south coast of England. Situated between Bournemouth and Portsmouth. Port of Southampton is a major port accounting over 7% of all UK seaborne trade. Famously known as the home of the RMS TITANIC the port handles almost half a million passengers per year. The Solent separates the Isle of Wight with Britain’s mainland. Due to the geographical arrangement of the land, Southampton has four tides per day this allows the port to have very successful trading.

​(A berth in the Western docks between the City and Mayflower Terminals has been identified as the most likely site for a fifth cruise terminal, should the need for one arise in the future).
